People's reaction to policies

IN DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES:

  • People need to demande more (a lot more then currently) for spending depending on their priorities in a specific domain.

  • People react to crisis: if you put laws to make police more armed and brutal they protest against police brutality. If you open borders, they protest against immigration.

  • They may sign a petition (that parties can support) to kick out a president or a a party from cabinet.

IN NON DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES:

  • Most protests are against gouvernent and vote less (usually, they always vote for the opposition in the next election just to say they’re not happy in general)

PS: the more democratic a country, the more people react to policies BUT there reach a point when democracy is maximum which means that the people are satisfied with policies so they react less.
