Election Postponement

In Avalon we’re starting to see some further diplomatic crises. I wouldn’t necessarily use this myself on this occasion (!), but it would be interesting if an election could be postponed by, for example, a supermajority in Parliament or even a unanimous decision.

A party postponing an election could receive autocracy points which would be appealed to the Supreme Court, and those points would be reversed if the Supreme Court rules the call fair/constitutional etc.

This would allow the roleplay to further link to the game itself during times of war, crisis, or other moments where a party would have to justify postponing an election in exceptional circumstances.
